Bethan Scolding

Bethan is a London-based classical pianist active as a soloist, chamber musician, accompanist, and collaborator. Her work spans traditional recital repertoire, contemporary music, historically informed performance, and collaborations with film and dance. She is known for expressive touch and responsive ensemble playing.

Bethan Scolding is Co-Founder & Principal of Greenwich Music School, where she leads the school’s educational vision, supporting student progress through pedagogy, curriculum design and course programming.

Bethan teaches piano and musicianship, working with students from early years to advanced levels. Her approach focuses on developing confident, thoughtful musicians through creative exploration, secure technical foundations, and supportive practice habits. She mentors teachers and leads training in piano pedagogy, musicianship and early years teaching.

Alongside her work at Greenwich Music School, Bethan is a lecturer in piano pedagogy at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, and a trustee of EPTA UK. She studied Music at Cardiff University before completing a Masters in piano at Trinity Laban.

Her work is grounded in the belief that music education should be joyful, rigorous, and accessible to all.
