Anna Hewitt

Greenwich Music School is a registered charity and centre of excellence in music education.

Anna Hewitt is a trustee of Greenwich Music School and a long-standing member of the GMS community. Music has played a central role in her life from an early age - she began piano lessons at seven, took up the flute soon after, and spent many formative years playing in ensembles through Kent Music School. Those experiences shaped her confidence, creativity, discipline, and sense of belonging, and left her with a deep appreciation of the impact that high-quality music education can have on young people.

Anna is currently Head of Intellectual Property for Hematology and Cell & Gene at Novartis, where she leads teams handling complex global patent litigation matters. Her professional background brings experience in governance, risk assessment, strategic thinking, and collaborative leadership, alongside a strong commitment to clear communication and thoughtful decision-making.

Anna lives in Charlton with her family and has been taking piano lessons at Greenwich Music School herself. She is now enjoying watching her young son explore music through GMS early years sessions. With strong roots in the local area, Anna is keen to support access to music education for children and families in Greenwich, and is pleased to contribute her skills, perspective, and passion for music to the charity’s work.
